Aaron's Plight

Dear BCOG,

I would really love to know what the Lord thinks about some of the relationship "troubles" I have found myself in over the years. I sure would appreciate His advice on my current love-related conundrums (sinful though they may be).

Any chance the BCOG would ever provide a holy love-advice column, like Dear Abby? I sure would be grateful, in the biblical sense.

Thanks, BCOG! Keep up the Best works!

Jewish,
Aaron

Dear Aaron

We must always look to the Bible for answers. I followed my first inclination and went directly to your namesake, Aaron... The book of Exodus, Chapter 8, verse 16 (NKJV): "So the Lord said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, so that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt."

The answer is simple, Aaron. When you have "stretched out your rod" in the past, have bad things happened? Have your actions turned into "lice throughout the land?" Perhaps not actual vermin (though you may want to examine yourself closely with a fine-toothed comb meant for the purpose) but have your gestures toward the opposite sex come to naught? Then it is time for you to stop trying, at least for a while. Fast and pray, and read your Bible. You will receive a sign when it is time to seek companionship again.

And stop being Jewish, because only Christians like Jesus know the truth.

In God We Trust,

Pastor Dave

He is risen! This blog, that is! All praise the blessed congregants of the Best Church of God, and may this electronic ministry have value in the lives of my flock and in the eyes of the Lord.
